We talked about the storms that we face in our lives, and how Jesus wants to speak His peace over us. "Don't be afraid. I AM Here"
When we asked people what they were facing today, this was their response. Full message here:

What a joy to be able to drop off more shoeboxes at the collection depot for the Central Okanagan, Mission Creek Alliance Church. We can't tell you the total (that would spoil Sunday's surprise!) but we can say it's really good news. There's still time for you to bring a packed box to MCA (corner of Springfield & Cooper) by Sunday November 23rd, or to donate directly online, http://www.samaritanspurse.ca/operation-christmas-child/ Thanks for your amazing generosity!
Mark your calendars for Sunday, December 14th! We are having a Christmas Party in the Hub from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., featuring gingerbread house building, a carol sing-along, and a chili potluck. This is open to the entire KGF church family and will be taking the place of the Monday Night Meal for the month of December.
The staff took a few minutes at Bethany's final staff meeting to say thank you, encourage, and pray for Bethany Schmaling as she heads into her maternity leave. Bethany has done huge work in the area of Kids Ministries @ KGF, and we will miss her joyful willing spirit, but look forward to her return! Thank you for giving your heart and soul to this ministry Bethany.
Wonderful to spend time with Randy Benson, Executive Director of the Kelowna Gospel Mission, and John Jansen, Board Chair for the Gospel Mission (and KGF family member). KGF is excited about a growing partnership with this great work as we move into 2015. Stay tuned for more good news! Find out about the Gospel Mission's increasing work online, http://kelownagospelmission.ca/
You are invited to join us this Sunday November 23rd between the second and third services at 11:15am in the Sanctuary for a brief KGF Membership Meeting.
All are welcome. Thanks for being part of shaping this church family moving forward!

There were many components that contributed to making this year's Living Beyond Ourselves a huge success!!
1.)We were able to raise awareness, and financially support through our purchases, the 10 not-for-profit organizations represented at the event.
2.)We connected with our community by those greeting at the doors, those helping in the clothing room and by those serving the multicultural food.
3.)We were able to bless our community, and those who might not afford it otherwise, by selling the clothing by donation and not a fixed price.
4.)We collected food for the Kelowna Food Bank and shoes to go to Soles for Souls (all sandals donated at this event will be going to Roatan).
5.)Through the clothing, the baking sold by donation, and the local artisans who donated 10% or more of their profits, we were able to raise over $2,800.00 for Made In Roatan.
These are just the benefits we know about. We are trusting that God has used this event to do infinitely more in our hearts and the hearts of others, that together we would make a positive impact for His kingdom.

It was wonderful to have Garth Walker join our staff team for a lively and incredibly helpful conversation on understanding our strengths personally and how that effects our working relationships. Each team member used the Strengths Finder material, and found that we compliment each other, which is a good thing! Thanks Garth for opening our eyes to how we can work more effectively with how God has wired each of us, and the DNA of our team. More online here - www.gallupstrengthscenter.com
Thanks to the Albanese family (Chris & Mandi & kids) for packing up all the shoeboxes to take them to the collection depot. The good news is we have already beaten our goal of 500 shoeboxes, standing at 512 as of Tuesday morning, with more still coming in! Praise God, each box means a gift and the Gospel for a kid around the world. You can still drop your box off directly at Mission Creek Alliance Church (corner of Springfield & Cooper) before Thursday. Thanks so much for your partnership in this amazing project!
