So excited to have the new nursery up and ready to go! It is now located right next to the Ladies Washroom, across from the front office. Parents are welcome to use the prayer room during the services as a quiet space.
) Work on the renovated Hub (former gym) begins in February.
It's amazing how it's all coming together. Thanks for everyone who helped make it happen, especially Mel Newth, Jay Wiens, and team! It's awesome to see us maximizing this facility at Gordon & Casorso for God's purposes!
Our family has the amazing opportunity and blessing to travel to Honduras during the Christmas holiday season this year. This missions trip is to the island of Roatan, Honduras and is mainly for outreach to the island's poor and needy through a Christmas food/clothing/sandals drive.
Bob and Debi Cowan are full time missionaries on the island and serve sharing God's love and His light to those in need. We will come along side them and help wherever needed. We are thankful for the provision from Soles4Souls of Kelowna who have sorted and provided us with boxes of brand new and used sandals to bring to the people of Roatan. How exciting to be able to help in a practical way and to be present to provide shoes and other supplies to people who may not have any or are in need of a pair of sandals! We are also bringing practical items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, small soaps that have been generously donated.
Hello KGF church family. It's pretty clear that Christmas is upon us! What a great month lies ahead, and we are glad you are a part of it all.
This Sunday we begin the four weeks of Advent, which is a time of preparation for the arrival of our Saviour. We want to do that Sundays and during the week in our homes. Families are invited to pick up an advent package for children, which include 25 envelopes with scripture readings, discussion questions and activities/crafts to help keep Jesus at the centre of Christmas. Packages are only $2 each and are available at the Kids Ministries desk in the foyer.
We are so excited to be able to celebrate Christmas in the City again this year. The KGF church family will be having two Christmas Eve celebration services on Tuesday December 24th, 4:30 & 6:00pmdowntown at the Kelowna Community Theatre. Last year was a huge success, and we are creating this evening as a perfect opportunity for you to invite people you have been thinking and praying for, to come and see why Christmas really does change everything.
This Sunday December 1st we begin Advent, which is a time of preparation for the arrival of our Saviour. Christmas has a tendency to rush upon us, and we want to pause each Sunday to remember the gifts Jesus has brought: Hope, Peace, Joy & Love.
