14 Day Journey into Prayer
James 5:16 (NLT) “The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and wonderful results.” Do you believe that to be true? I do. I have discovered that the more you pray, the more you realize that prayer makes a difference. I love it when people say “I was praying for you at such and such a time”, and I think back and remember, “Yah, I needed those prayers, I felt those prayers!”
Pastor Samuel Chadwick reminded us of the power of prayer in the spiritual realm. “The one concern of the devil is to keep Christians from praying, The devil fears nothing from prayerless studies, prayerless work, prayerless religion. The devil laughs at our toil, mocks our wisdom, but Satan trembles when we pray.”
We have three core values at KGF.
Grounded in the Bible
Guided by the Spirit
Growing in Prayer
It’s not enough to take notes on a message about prayer. If we never take the steps to pray, we’re missing out.
That’s why I want to invite you to join me and the leaders of KGF on a 14 day journey into prayer. We do not learn to pray by listening to messages on prayer, reading about it, talking about it. We learn to pray, we become people of prayer, by praying! We’re asking you to commit to 14 days of prayer, culminating in a church wide prayer gathering on Sunday September 5th, 7pm in the Sanctuary at KGF.
What it will entail is that you will take a dedicated time, maybe 10 minutes a day, to come before God in prayer. We have put together a prayer guide and you can download it here. The structure of your time, the amount of time you spend, is not as important to us as the fact that we intentionally begin to pray.
This may be new for you, but that’s okay! May God bless you and this church family as we make time to intentionally come before Him in prayer.
