Child Dedication @ KGF - November 14
Attention all parents of young kids!
I wanted to first of all thank you for being a part of the KGF family! Exciting things are afoot, and God is moving in our midst in powerful ways. I don’t consider it a small thing that you entrust your little ones to our care. It is our prayer that we would be good partners with you, as you seek to raise them up knowing and loving God.
Along those lines, I wanted to make you aware of a very special Child Dedication service happening on Sunday November 14, 2010 at KGF. This is a chance for us as parents to go before this church family and to dedicate our child, and ourselves to God. Throughout the Bible, we see fathers and mothers offering their kids to God for His service, returning the gift of our kids to the great gift giver. And when we stand before family and friends and present our children, we are in effect saying, “We need your help to raise these kids in a way that honors God.”There is no age limit for dedicating children, and if you would like to be a part of this special morning, then please let us know by calling the church office, 250-763-6553 or emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . You can check out photos from previous child dedications online here:
I’m excited for the new chapter God is writing in our midst, and the place this next generation will play in that chapter! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Pastor Mike Penninga
“Write these commandments that I’ve given you today on your hearts. Get them inside of you and then get them inside your children. Talk about them wherever you are, sitting at home or walking in the street; talk about them from the time you get up in the morning to when you fall into bed at night.” (Deuteronomy 6:6-8, The Message)
“Point your kids in the right direction—when they’re old they won’t be lost.” (Proverbs 22:6, The Message)
