Gardom Lake Bible Camp - End of Summer!

Written by Administrator on .

Gardom Lake Greetings in our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ. It has been a fantastic summer; I sit before God and thank Him for what He has done through His people. We have just completed our final week; we had 100 teen campers and 14 day campers. Of the 100 teens we had 26 make commitments to follow Jesus and many more committed to growing deeper in their relationship with Him. Mike Fornwald, a youth pastor from Abbotsford, was a passionate speaker who spoke the truth simply yet with intensity. Our final camper total was 1005. We are thankful the week was incident free, and that it seemed like the campers had a great time.

Friday night after saying good-bye to the campers, staff enjoyed a great time of worship and sharing what God has been teaching each of us this summer. Saturday clean-up went relatively smoothly as staff crews were working ahead all week to make today more manageable. A huge thank-you to Dave, Peter and Nick who came out to lend a much-appreciated hand.  The day ended with a celebratory dinner at Boston Pizza, and with that summer is officially over. It is with full hearts and exhausted bodies that we take a momentary reprieve to process all the events of the summer, and rest. Monday afternoon we welcome SYC and get ready for the Fall rental season.

Thanks again for your support in body and Spirit. I am very grateful to be writing this letter from my home computer and look forward to going to sleep in my own bed. Blessings to you all!
Shalom;

Rikk Kieft - Camp Director
