God's Work - The Stories of Ministry

KGFThe Journey Forward – Reflections on our September Congregational Meeting

Stories abounding: of people coming back to a relationship with Jesus, stories of others who are meeting Jesus for the first time, stories of God appointments in coffee shops and tool stores J – these are the signs that we are walking out our vision of “Creating places of belonging where people discover Jesus and are equipped to follow Him.”

Stories abounding: about our children’s ministry expanding at an incredible pace and the many who have stepped up and are using their gifts and abilities to serve and teach our little ones to worship and know Jesus.  Thank you Kristi Cooper.

More stories: of all that God has been doing in and through Pastor Mike and Josh our music director,  about our board’s efforts behind the scenes with all that fun stuff of constitutional revision and policies being updated,  and the great news of deciding together to begin our search for an Associate Pastor of Community Life.

This new pastor will have a head start when he comes, in that over half of our congregation (225) are now in some form of small group.  That is just awesome, as they will have additional opportunities to grow deeper in Christ in a closer knit group that can go beyond what we can achieve in our large Sunday morning gatherings.

God is always up to something good and His hand is very evident in our midst these days.   My heart is full of praise.  I pray that we would have eyes to see and hearts to hear Him as He builds His kingdom in and through our lives.   Please pray for wisdom for those in leadership at all levels, and thank you to all for each one who are serving Him in this exciting journey at KGF.

Serving Him together,

Garth Walker,

KGF Board Chairman
