Green Bay Bible Camp - Family Camps 2011
I spent a beautiful day out at Green Bay Bible Camp yesterday. As a pastor, the tyranny of the urgent can take the place of the important, and so I intentionally get away for days of refreshment, where my brain can focus and my heart can be filled. Green Bay is one of those getaway places for me, and I love it.
My history with Green Bay goes back to 1996, when I worked there for a summer as their first ever "Video Tech". They had just purchased a digital video editing system (fancy computer) and I was helping them develop it for use that summer and beyond. It was a great experience, and I followed up the following year by being the assistant program director, along with Dave Huber. I have many fond memories of the camp just across the lake. It is a beautiful setting so close to home, and a place where many people have discovered Jesus and grown deeper in love with Him.
The reason I'm sharing this is Green Bay Bible Camp has developed an incredible ministries to families, in their Family Camps. They have six family camps each Summer, from mid-July to the end of August. These are awesome times where your whole family can be ministered to. I highly recommend them, and encourage you to check out their website to find out more information.
