Heart Songs

I believe music has a very important  place in our lives as we worship God. We all connect (sometimes unconsciously) to certain songs, there is a mystery to it, we are all different, but we all have heart songs.

It is incredible how a lyric or melody can bring us to worship. It may be a huge or small role,  For me, music is woven into my very being, I have countless memories attached to certain songs. Some songs sad, some happy, songs for all emotions.

I also have certain "Heart Songs" that I love. A Heart Song is a tune you know inside and out, when you hear it you feel free in worship, not held back by the "newness" of the song, you can sing it with your eyes closed :0)  My Heart Song changes from year to year, but it is always a song that God uses to speak to me with.  Right now I am captivated by two songs, "Beautiful Things" by the artist "Gungor" and "Here is Love", a classic hymn redone by "Matt Redman".
