I am honored and excited to let my name stand for the secretary position on the board. Having served in leadership capacities at Stillwood Camp and for CMU's Outtatown Discipleship School, I am aware of the hard work and the joy that comes from working on a solid team and leading a group well. I love being part of decisions that move the organization forward in positive ways. I am excited to help lead the church as we continue to grow and expand. I also am passionate about supporting and encouraging the staff we have and those that will be joining the team.
I became a Christian early in life. As I grew and matured so did my faith. At various points of my life new commitments and beliefs became part of my faith journey. Daily fellowship with God is a goal I continually work towards. I desire to be increasingly mindful of my relationship with God in every aspect of my life. Periodic time of communing with God have enriched the relationship we have. I look forward to those extended periods of time to spend on a ‘date’ with Jesus. I know that a relationship with God is a journey I'm on for the rest of my life and I desire to consistently strive in that direction.
I came to KGF during a time when Pastor Mike's phrase, "You're more sinful than you think and more loved than you can imagine" was a commonly spoken phrase. Being "more loved than I could imagine" was crucial for me to hear at that time. I wanted to be part of a church where real life intersects with the supernatural love of God. I have found that at KGF.
Another important aspect of church life for me is being known. I have found an incredible support network and amazing friends at KGF. I now feel known here and I love that. I have loved being involved with Break Away, leading a Life Group with Eric, quilting with the Ladies Mission Circle and teaching the grade 5/6 class Sunday school class for a term.
I also love being part of a multigenerational church. Having grown up in one I appreciate the uniqueness of each generation. Calling KGF my church signifies that I’m really at home here.
I am excited to journey with KGF in this new capacity!
