Kristi Cooper - Stepping Down as Director of Kids Ministries
We shared with the church family Sunday January 23rd that there are some changes in store in the area of Kids Ministries. The letter from Kristi Cooper is below: You can watch the video of Kristi sharing here:
It is with a lot of mixed emotion that I choose to step down from my position at KGF as the Children’s Ministry Director. I have been wrestling for the past few months with the responsibilities in my job and the responsibilities I have to my family. In the past few weeks it has become clear to me that God is asking me to lay down this position and put my family first. This is difficult because I love our church and I love our children.
However, it has become increasingly evident that this position has become bigger than I had anticipated and has had a bigger affect on my family than I was prepared for. God has blessed us incredibly with a rapidly growing children’s program. This is a privilege and a blessing and one I don’t take for granted. To facilitate this program in a way that I believe we should requires far more time than I am able to give with all my other responsibilities. The children and families of KGF deserve to have someone who is able to give their full attention to this incredible blessing and responsibility.
It is my prayer that I can ease the transition in any way possible as I don’t want to cause any disturbances to the children's’ program. I truly want the absolute best for our children and know that God will provide that for us at KGF. He has given me immense peace in the future of this program and I am so excited about all He has in store.
Board: We are grateful for the work Kristi has done providing leadership to our burgeoning kids ministries program. We anticipate Kristi will remain on staff until April 2011. Stay tuned for details on the next step in this department. We look forward to what God has in store for us at KGF, and are glad the Coopers will continue to be part of our church family!
