Merry Christmas from KGF!
Merry Christmas from your family at Kelowna Gospel Fellowship Church!
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6-7, NIV
Christmas is the time we draw near to the babe in the manger, God in the flesh! I like it how J.I. Packer puts it. “The Christmas message is that there is hope for a ruined humanity—hope of pardon, hope of peace with God, hope of glory—because at the Father's will Jesus Christ became poor and was born in a stable so that thirty years later he might hang on a cross.”
May you encounter this hope this season. And may your life be different because of it!
Our Christmas Eve services are December 24th, 4:30 and 6:30pm.
We are back together Sunday December 27th, 10am with a message on discovering the God of Your Dreams.
The office will be closed from December 25th until January 4th, reopening Tuesday January 5th.
Have a great Christmas!
God became a man for this purpose: since you, a human being, could not reach God, but you can reach other humans, you might now reach God through a man. And so the man Christ Jesus became the mediator of God and human beings. God became a man so that following a man—something you are able to do—you might reach God, which was formerly impossible to you. —St. Augustine
