Seeking Full Time Children's Ministries Pastor
Kelowna Gospel Fellowship Church is receiving resumes for the position of Full-Time Children’s Ministries Pastor, available immediately.
Our Church:
KGF is a growing congregation of 550 plus people. Our congregation is truly multi-generational, but we are seeing a great surge in young families, with over 100 children from birth to grade 6. We are a strongly evangelical congregation that is a part of the family of Mennonite Brethren churches, 115 in BC and 250 across the country. (www.bcmb.org, www.mbconf.ca)
Overview:
The Children’s Ministries Pastor provides overall leadership for birth to grade 6 ministries at KGF. He / she will facilitate the creation, development and organization of an effective ministry plan that advances the vision for KGF. Our vision statement is the job description for this position: to create places of belonging where children can discover Jesus and be equipped to follow Him. He / she will also serve as the team leader of the volunteers who work in these areas.
The Children’s ministries Pastor should exhibit the spiritual gifts of leadership, shepherding, teaching and administration. This position needs to be held by a clear “people person” who realizes that ministry is always about people, not programs. The candidate should also have a clear understanding of effective Children’s Ministries in the 21st century church.
