Hello KGF church family!  Here's the latest on what's happening around the house.

Guest Preacher - Shawn KlassenWe are looking forward to welcoming a guest preacher this Sunday, Shawn Klassen, who is not a stranger to KGF.  Shawn grew up here and has spent several years working alongside his wife Lisa (also a KGF’er!) as youth pastor at St. David’s Presbyterian in North Glenmore.  He is speaking about turning points in our lives, and how God uses them to draw us back to Him.

Kickoff Sunday - September 13 - Back to the FutureYou’re not going to want to miss Sunday September 13th, because it’s Kickoff Sunday at KGF!  We’re going to have a lot of fun as we launch the Fall ministry season, and our six part study on the book of Acts entitled “Back to the Future”.  Look out for Doc & Marty!

Life Group - Join the 5 Week Challenge! As part of this first series, we are launching a 5-Week Life Group Challenge, putting together 12 or 13 small groups of 10 people from all ages and stages of the spiritual journey.  We’d love to have you say yes to this challenge, as it is pivotal to building community and true relationships in this place.  Drop us an email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to let us know you’re interested in the Life Group Challenge.

If you’re new to KGF, please stick around after our service Sunday September 6th for our Newcomers Lunch, noon – 1:30pm in the Fireside room.  It’s free, and childcare is provided.

Prayer Rally - September 9thOne final note of invitation.  We are having a church wide prayer rally Wednesday September 9th, 7pm in the auditorium, as we move forward into this new season.  Josh Smith is leading in a time of worship, and I’ll be walking us through a concert of prayer as we seek God’s heart for our family!

If you haven’t done so yet, spend some time poking around www.kgfchurch.com.  You can catch up on messages, check out upcoming events, look at photos and much more.

You are loved.
