Together We Can – Fall 2009 Campaign

KGF is in the midst of an exciting capital fundraising campaign entitled “Together We Can” to help advance the life and ministry opportunities around our family.   We are targeting 3 projects with 2 spin-off effects and 1 overall goal, raising $25,000.  Renovations and upgrades to the Kitchen, updates to our Kids Ministry Wing, and the purchase of a Video Recording system for the auditorium are the areas we are planning to invest in.  Take a look at this promo video to see the scope of the project.

The first 10 percent of all money that is raised will go to two great ministries in Kelowna, The Gospel Mission, (www.kelownagospelmission.ca) and the Okanagan Valley Pregnancy Care Center (www.ovpcc.com).  The second 10 percent will be set aside for upcoming unforeseen needs and expenses in the ministry life of KGF, in order to be good stewards of what God has given us.  And the remaining 80 percent will go to fund these three projects.

$25,000 might seem like a daunting goal, but not when we take a “Together We Can” mindset.  Here is how it might break-down as giving above and beyond your regular contribution:

2 gifts - $2,500 = $5,000

5 gifts - $1,000 = $5,000

20 gifts - $500 = $10,000

40 gifts - $100 = $4,000

20 gifts - $50 = $1,000

We want you to be a part of this.  Whether you’re new to KGF or have been coming for years, this is a chance for us to partner together for this new season of life and ministry.

So what do you do next?

  • Pray about your involvement
  • Plan your level of giving
  • Give generously!

You’ll hear more about this campaign over the coming weeks, and then plan to join us for our big fundraising lunch Sunday October 18th, noon in the gym.  If you have questions, please contact me at the church office.

Pastor Mike Penninga

“Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. 7 You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” 8 And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.”
