Why Do Earthquakes Happen?

We have all been gripped by the tragic images coming out of Haiti.  It is hard to imagine such a devastating natural disaster claiming so many lives.  How do we reconcile such natural evil with a supposedly good God?  I examined this issue in depth during my recent Masters studies, and wrote a paper entitled "God and Natural Evil"  It is a dialogue between two university students, as they wrestle with this very issue.  You can read the paper here:
