Kevin Loewen - Last Sunday

Hello Friends:

This is my last Sunday at KGF and I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you. Thank you for giving me everything I needed to learn, grow, and pursue my passion. I enjoyed growing up in this church and receiving the benefits of great youth pastors and leaders and I have thoroughly enjoyed being able to come back and work in a pastoral role and give back the same things I received. I am very happy to say that I leave the youth group knowing that I have great leaders that will pick up where I left off. This last year would not have been such a success without Jessica, Louise, Crystal, Scott, and Mike. They showed up every week to help and invest in the youth of KGF and the local community. To them I say Thank You!

I enjoyed working in all aspects of the church, whether it was at the confident seniors Christmas party, the life group that Stacey and I led or preaching, I always felt loved and supported by the entire congregation. I feel that I have come a long way since I began here and because of the investment that KGF put into me, others will benefit.

Right now Stacey and I plan on relaxing over the summer. I am speaking at Gardom Lake Bible Camp for a week as well as another camp in Saskatchewan. We plan on spending some time in Saskatchewan with Stacey’s family and in the fall returning to Kelowna. Stacey will continue to be a preschool teacher at KCS and I am looking into various possibilities, one of which would be to join Heroes and continue teaching in the middle schools in Kelowna. While I don’t know exactly what I will be doing, I do know that God is good and will take care of us.
