The godly values my parents instilled in me kept me away from many of Satan’s traps, and I am very grateful for that. But Satan was successful in keeping me from telling others about who God was, and His love for them. It was not until I entered UBC in Vancouver, a secular institution, that God ignited my walk with Him. Through Campus Crusade for Christ, I no longer was a “closet Christian”. I became proud of my relationship with God. I desired to serve God and put Him on the throne of my life. My head knowledge began to impact my heart.
I started working with the youth and wanted to follow God wherever He would lead. He led me to Prince George where I continued to serve Him with youth and young adults. As I served Him, I experience much joy. Through serving, I met my beautiful wife Marianne who is my help mate and best friend. He also blessed me with two healthy, energetic, godly boys, swcr6hua and Robson.
I love to serve God because I have experienced the blessing of joining Him in His work around me. I want to continue to follow Him because He has proven Himself to be always faithful, taking me to places I’ve never dreamed I would enjoy. He loves me in spite of my faults and my failures, and He loves me enough not to leave me where I am; He loves me enough to discipline me and to correct me.
I want to serve my God and proudly proclaim to others that I am His child. I want to share with others that I am a Christian. I want to make an impact on other people’s lives, for Him. Lately, God has been taking me through a lot of changes. But I trust Him and look forward in seeing what He will do continue to do in my life, as a child of God.
