As a young person, I went to the United Church Sunday school here in Kelowna.  When I became a teenager, I stopped going - I don’t remember why.

When Mary and I were to be married, I was baptized in the Anglican Church.

Years later we met some good Mennonite people in the gym at the school where our boys played basketball.  They asked us to come to Willow Park Church and we eventually took the Alpha Course.

At that time, we had the good fortune to have a young pastor intern by the name of Mike Penninga at our table.  He had all the gifts that are now apparent.

I have always believed in God - that He created us and the wonderful world we live in, but the Alpha course explained it so well that Mary and I made the decision to accept Jesus as our Saviour.  Pastor Mike baptized us 12 years ago.  We become very active at Willow Park and eventually we will get involved here at Kelowna Gospel Fellowship.

My Bible verse is from Luke 6:37, “Judge not and you will not be judged”.
