Diane Diane KGF Church

This is my testimony to the grace of my Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ.

I am the 4th child born into a Ukrainian Catholic family. My family faithfully attended church every Sunday with my dad in the choir and actively involved members. However, alcoholism, along with both physical and verbal abuse was commonplace. When I was 12, I totally rebelled and began drinking heavily and became very suicidal. In my darkest moment, I cried out to God that if He was real to please help me. Shortly after, my sister came back from nursing school amazingly changed and full of life. She knew I was going down a dark path and we had a quiet moment one afternoon when she explained the real reason Jesus died on the cross.

Being Catholic, we had crucifixes everywhere, but were never explained the Good News of Jesus. So, I absolutely believed and understood the salvation message and asked Jesus to be my personal Saviour and Lord. Immediately I sensed a breaking of chains and freedom! A huge weight had been taken off my back along with feeling love deep in my heart for the first time. The power of Christ changed the direction of my life - I was totally lost but my Lord truly found me. I hungered for the Word so much I could barely put it down. Bread for a starving soul, for sure.

I have unfortunately not always stayed living in His light. In my late teens, I made some wrong choices and went through some devastating circumstances. Christ’s unfailing love always brought me back to the fold.

In a decade of being a widowed, single mom, Jesus truly showed himself to be my Provider, Husband and a Father to my fatherless little boy. Dominion, my son, and I prayed for many years for a godly man to come into our lives. Four years ago, we received the answer to our prayers and the Lord brought Rob into our lives.

We are looking forward to beginning our lives as family at KGF Church.
