Jenna Jenna KGF Church

I grew up in a Christian home and accepted Christ at a very young age. I always went to church, Sunday school, youth group and did everything I was supposed to. I was constantly trying to please people and be accepted as a "good person". I didn't understand the concept of having a relationship with the Lord.

After years of thinking I had it all figured out, I fell into a hole. With a mixture of depression and a struggle with bulimia, I was running from God fast. But he didn't let me get away. He used specific people to guide me and bring me back to him and into a relationship with him. He showed me that his view of me was the one that mattered, and that when I looked into the mirror I should see a daughter of the King.

The Lord radically changed my heart. He led me to be a camp counselor at Camp Qwanoes for 3 summers and share the story of his work in my life with many young girls. This was such a gift as I was able to learn more about myself and who the Lord wants me to be. I wasn't concerned about pleasing others anymore.

He led me here to Kelowna in January of 2010 where he blessed me with my wonderful husband and best friend Ryan. I had prayed for a long time for a man who would pursue me and love me for me. I found that incredible gift in Ryan. The Lord continues to grow and change both of us daily and make us into a strong team working for his kingdom.

The Lord gave me these verses from Ephesians 2 (verses 4-8)

"But God, being rich in mercy, because of great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ- by grace you have been saved- and raised up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.”
