I received Christ as a young child of 3, and vividly remember praying with my mother. This was more out of wanting to please her, but the desire for God grew within me from that time on. The changes that Christ has made in my life are numerous, and He continues to change me. He filled me with a desire to know Him, excitement to read the Bible, wanting to be baptized at age 10, boldness to share Jesus with teachers and students, even when I was quaking. He set me free from guilt and self-condemnation and showed me the love of God! The Holy Spirit took my reserved, goal-centered persona and filled me with His warmth and eternal perspective.
He set me free from bulimia when I was a teenager. I was too ashamed to tell anyone, but I sincerely called out to God to help me because I knew it was wrong. To this day, I have not once struggled with bulimia again. Also, a healthy view of myself was restored. The Lord set me free completely, when I was alone and weak, and that is a miracle!
The Lord has protected me from harm physically when I was thrown over top of a vehicle in an accident and walked away with scratches. He has healed my back instantaneously of constant pain. He has provided for my needs miraculously.
He has spoken to me so many times that I know He is true and faithful and loving. He is my only hope and He is mighty to save. He has shown Himself to me and I know that I can trust Him.
I love Psalm 103:11&12.
“For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is His love for those who fear Him;
as far as the east is from the west,
so far has He removed our transgressions from us.”
