When I came back from the summer, the first day of school I met up with Anthony and he invited me to Young Life. Not knowing what it really was I said yes and went to his house after school. We sat on his front steps and talked about God and Christ. I ended up giving my life to Christ. Ever since then Anthony has been my best friend and a mentor to me. He has been that friend that helps me through the hard things and always there for me when I have a tough question.

Since becoming a Christ follower I have done a lot of things because of my faith. I was a youth leader for 5 years, one of the most fun things I’ve done but also challenging. I have also gone to India and worked in orphanages. It was a big eye opener to how much people need Jesus. The hardest I have gone through would have to be the death of my little sister. She got into the wrong crowd and indulged in the life of drugs. August 2010 she passed away of an overdose. People need Jesus. They need a way to be with God and that’s what Jesus did and why I follow him and want to show the world who he was.

February 2010, I met my wife Jenna at a youth conference we were both leaders at. I was attracted to her and pursued her. We connected quickly and agreed that we were looking for a relationship that was going somewhere. I met her family and they loved me. We got engaged in November and married in April. She is my best friend and I am excited to journey with her and God in our life together.

A verse that has stuck with me is Zephaniah 3:17, “The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save, He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with his heart, He will rejoice over you with singing.”
