I attended the Lutheran Collegiate Bible Institute, and began studying for my Nursing Degree. In my 3rd year of training, I met Bill and we married in 1957. We were blessed with two wonderful children, a son and daughter, and continued our involvement with the Lutheran church in Saskatoon where I continued my nursing career.
We moved to Burnaby. B.C. in 1966, where we became involved again with the Lutheran Church, where our children married. We have been blessed with five awesome grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. They are the loves of my life.
God blessed us with travelling and serving in Canada and the USA with various travelling ministries, until our son’s melanoma brought us quickly home to settle in Abbotsford. Praise goes to God for healing. Prayer has indeed worked through my entire life.
I love the song, “I Must Tell Jesus.” I know we have a God of miracles, and we indeed have victory in Christ. I could write a book on miracles and blessings. My favorite saying is “pray, yes, pray on.”
We moved to Lake Country where we built a house with our son and his wife. We attended the Alliance Church, where God called us to join and be baptized in 1996. We travelled every winter from October to March, a great time to “Go ye therefore into all the world, and be my disciples.” Matthew 28:18. God has given me a boldness to share the good news of Jesus.
I am happy to be part of God’s family at KGF and happy we are becoming members.
Several favorite verses are Jeremiah 29:11, Psalm 23, Psalm 121 and Deuteronomy 31:6. “Be strong and courageous for the Lord your God goes with you. He will never leave you or forsake you.”
