I grew up outside the church. I mean, there was always some idea in my household that God existed but it was never accepted as a reality, and as I got older and travelled the world with my family more, the search for stability, truth and satisfaction began to boil up inside of me, and graciously, God began to call me to Himself.  He began to place people who were extremely influential into my life, I gradually began attending a youth ministry where I felt comfortable, accepted and loved. This was my time of preparation; my soil was being prepared for the harvest to come. And on March 25, 2007 at a youth retreat, I accepted Jesus Christ into my heart as Lord and Saviour.

A fire was started inside my heart, and I needed to know more of the Lord. As I continued to focus on understanding Jesus, people poured into my life to ensure that I had the right foundation and understanding of the Bible to work hand in hand with my passion and I thank God for the strong foundation that was poured into me at a very young age in my walk.

It’s that foundation that has got me through many a trial from persecution to depression to loneliness to self-esteem problems. Jesus has been my ever present solid rock and I am so excited at how much I have grown and more importantly how much I will grow in my future.

In this season of my life, I really feel as if God is showing me how to really live a Christocentric lifestyle where He is at the centre of all my decisions. More specifically, I feel God is teaching me more on the power of forgiveness, the importance of humility and the brilliance of His mercy.

With all that I am learning, I am elated to get the opportunity to become a member of Kelowna Gospel Fellowship, because I know I will always have a place of belonging, where I can really surrender before God and I will get the opportunity to encounter Jesus and be equipped to share Him with others.

KGF is a growing church, not necessarily in size but more importantly  in Christ and I look forward to growing with the church and serving as much as I can in any way possible.
