In 1960, the population of Kelowna was 11,000 people.  A new home cost $12,000 in this city would cost you $12,000.  It was the year the Berlin Wall was built, JFK became president, the Flintstones debuted, and a small group of people in Kelowna launched a new church that became Kelowna Gospel Fellowship.  Lots has changed over the past 50 years, but not the desire to be a welcoming family that knows Jesus and makes Him known!  Pastor Mike Penninga dives into the theme "Deep Roots & New Shoots", honoring the journey of the past 50 years and inviting people to jump on board for what the Lord has in store next.

Jake Schroeder and his team did an awesome job of organizing, directing and presenting this celebration. There were many opportunities to connect and renew aquaintances with many people on Friday night's "Meet and Greet". The banquet and program Saturday night was excellent and brought back many memories of years past as Pastor Larry spoke and others shared. The Sunday morning service was icing on the cake (beautiful and delicious as well), with words of encouragement from previous pastors and a positive vision for the future from Pastor Mike.

Well done,
