There is one thing we sometimes forget about eagles. . . they can't soar without an updraft! Guest preacher Tim Schroeder brings a powerful message from Isaiah 40 about the work God does in our life when we we are in the lowest valley. "Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope upon the Lord will renew their strength, they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint." Isaiah 40:30-31

That was powerful. Thanks, Tim.
Flying High
Flying high in the sky
above the earth with all its woes
I saw a bird, with wings aspread
soaring high on wind that flows
The earth below, awash in blood
the hatred, violence far and wide
Grief and sorrow, death and vice
spreading slowly like a tide
As the bird flew to the depths
and spiralled downward in a dive
It caught the current of the air
and upward flew vibrantly alive
As to the depths of pain we fall
we need to spread the gift of love
To lift us upward, healing wounds
the gift of love, from God above
