Parables Part 4 - Grasping the Generosity of God - Matthew 20 Parables Part 4 - Grasping the Generosity of God - Matthew 20 KGF Church

As we continue our walk this summer through the Parables of Jesus, we come face to face with the extravagant love of your Heavenly Father. The title that came to me has been a phrase that I have meditated on all week: Grasping the Generosity of God. We are looking at a story told by Jesus that speaks to His extraordinary grace. Together we will discover why it’s a great thing that God doesn’t treat us fairly from an earthly perspective.

A lot of great stuff in this one, but the closing prayer was what stuck out at me. I'm one of those long-term Christians that you prayed about, and while I don't really feel jealousy about other people coming to know Jesus and becoming a Christian, I do have a gut reaction of "Yeah, but is it for real?".

It turns out that, whether or not they're truly meaning it when they say the Sinner's Prayer, that attitude is wrong. A seed is still being planted, and we are not responsible for the soil. A seed planted is still a praiseworthy event.
