More than a Miracle - Part 7 - Victory over Darkness More than a Miracle - Part 7 - Victory over Darkness KGF Churh

There is a difference between seeing the miracles of Jesus and experiencing the miracles of Jesus personally. It is possible to see Jesus’ power and still push him away. Today’s story brings that into crystal clarity. As we continue our summer series “More Than a Miracle”, we find ourselves on a hillside overlooking the Sea of Galilee, witnessing a collision of darkness and light. And the winner. . . is guaranteed!

Mike,

Enjoyed your sermon today. Good stuff, good topic, important to address and allow us all to understand.

The demons knew who Jesus was not the man and they were in control of him. Jesus asks him his name (in my opinion the most powerful part of this story), but the demons responded, Jesus wasn't talking to them, he was humanizing the man possessed, as all others had dehumanized - that is a beautiful picture of how Jesus deals with Satan - he cares more about the man then the demons and transforming the mans reality into life from death

Jesus gives freedom
Jesus gives life
Jesus gives purpose (direction and future - well said) - Go home to your OWN people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how ha has had mercy on you. - that is the gospel and he has become the carrier of the good news - Jesus says GO!!!!! Love it!

Do what that man did run to Jesus, be set free, give yourself to him and let him lead you to the world you find yourself in with the good news of what Jesus does.

Blessings
