Last year I let Satan take a foot hold in my life. I walked away from the Lord and my family. I kept so many secrets from them because I knew I was doing wrong by them. My life was full of brokenness and hurt. My life was not what I ever thought it would look like. I always was close to and loved my mom.

2013 Convention Report

This year’s annual convention was held May 3 & 4, 2013 at Eagle Ridge Bible Fellowship in Coquitlam BC. Attending on behalf of KGF church were Ellen Hubert, Jake Schroeder, and Nancy Tordiffe. We were warmly welcomed by the conference staff as well as the local church volunteers.

This year’s theme of “Take Courage, Keep on Speaking” came from Acts 18:9: “One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: “Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent.” Each attendee was given a navy blue rubber bracelet with the words “Take Courage, Keep on Speaking”.

As part of the KGF ONE service Sunday June 9th in City Park, we’ll be having baptisms in Okanagan Lake, and we’d love to have you part of that. 

This Sunday (May 19th) the message is entitled “Taking A Stand”.  If you have yet to take this important step, I will personally challenge you to go public with baptism.

Our baptism / membership class is being held Wednesday May 22nd, 7 – 9pm in the Fireside Room.

Global Day Of Prayer – May 19, 2pm City Park

One of our three core values at KGF is growing in prayer.  This Sunday (May 19th) you are invited down to City Park as we join with the churches of Kelowna and Christ-followers around the world for the Global Day of Prayer.  It runs from 2 – 4pm at the City Park Grandstand.

The sun shone bright for the annual Run, Walk, Cycle Fundraiser at Gardom Lake Bible Camp. 68 participants of all ages came out to enjoy some exercise, BBQ lunch and fun camp activities. The group fundraising effort came to a grand total of $26,700! We are so thankful for all the support. Eric Wiens and Ian Cameron were the two brave participants who completed the 70 km bike ride, while several other participants biked other distances from 12-40 km. Some runners completed the 10km run, while the rest of the group enjoyed the 5 km walk around the lake. Their bright orange shirts were hard to miss.
