Mark

I grew up in a Christian family, and I was the youngest of 3 kids.

I went to church regularly, but as a teenager started missing church for sports.  I never made a commitment to the Lord and lived for myself.

My brother and sister often talked to me about my life, but I was selfish and tuned them out.

When I went to college, I was really heading in the wrong direction.  It was the first time living on my own and I was responsible for all my choices.  Wow! I'm lucky I didn't starve to death... scurvy... where did my food money go?

One of the guys I hung out with really started acting differently.  He wanted to share with me about the God of creation.  When he started talking to me, about the Bible and Bible verses, he was surprised, I knew what he was talking about.  I always carried a Bible with me, but it wasn't until we spent time together, that my eyes were opened.

I saw and felt my need for a Savior.  I asked Jesus into my heart and life.  I began to turn away from my old ways and I began my walk with the Lord.

When I was young, and new in the Lord, I still remember thinking, as Christians, we would all think exactly the same.  Over the years, I felt I've grown and matured.  We are all a work in progress and as we journey through this life, the Lord is always teaching me and refining me.

I've been blest to have served with some great people, while being part of youth ministries, couples ministries and men's ministries.

The Lord has blest me with my wife of 22 years Julie and our three kids Abigail, Parker and Naomi

A verse I love not only for me, but for our family is swcr6hua 24: 14-15.

"Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness.

Throw away the gods your forefathers worshiped ..and serve the Lord.

But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you,

then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve,

But as for me and household, we will serve the Lord."
