Mother's Day Baby Dedications - 4 Families

Written by

KGF wants to stand alongside parents as they raise their little ones to respond to God's love in their lives.

Here, we have the joy of dedicating 5 children from 4 families on Mothers Day Sunday.

Once again, we are excited to come together to support our partner ministry, the Okanagan Valley Pregnancy Care Centre, in our 2014 Baby Bottle Campaign.  As you'll hear in this introduction video with Pastor Marcus Schmaling, the goal is $10,000 dollars.  Grab a baby bottle, fill it with coins / cash / checks, and return it on Fathers Day, Sunday June 15th.  More online at www.kgfchurch.com, and http://ovpcc.com/

Matt Redman Song "Never Once"

Written by

As part of our series, "You'll Get Through This", the KGF Church Worship Team shared a powerful song by Matt Redman entitled, "Never Once", from the album, "10,000 Reasons."

Matt Redman's website - http://www.mattredman.com/

Lyrics - Never Once

Standing on this mountaintop
Looking just how far we’ve come
Knowing that for every step
You were with us

Kneeling on this battle ground
Seeing just how much You’ve done
Knowing every victory
Was Your power in us

Scars and struggles on the way
But with joy our hearts can say
Yes, our hearts can say

Never once did we ever walk alone
Never once did You leave us on our own
You are faithful, God, You are faithful

Kneeling on this battle ground
Seeing just how much You’ve done
Knowing every victory
Was Your power in us

Scars and struggles on the way
But with joy our hearts can say
Yes, our hearts can say

Never once did we ever walk alone
Never once did You leave us on our own
You are faithful, God, You are faithful
You are faithful, God, You are faithful

Scars and struggles on the way
But with joy our hearts can say
Never once did we ever walk alone
Carried by Your constant grace
Held within Your perfect peace
Never once, no, we never walk alone

Never once did we ever walk alone
Never once did You leave us on our own
You are faithful, God, You are faithful

Every step we are breathing in Your grace
Evermore we’ll be breathing out Your praise
You are faithful, God, You are faithful
You are faithful, God, You are faithful

You are faithful, God, You are faithful
You are faithful, God, You are faithful

Often in the Bible, whenever people were set aside for ministry there was a time of commissioning. We are excited to be able to do this in the KGF family as we see Marcus Schmaling join our staff team in the area of Youth & Young Adults Pastor. His primary area of responsibilities will be with our high school ministry, grade 7 – 12, and Young Adults, 18 – late 20’s.

Our vision statement will be Marcus’ job description: To create places of belonging where young people can discover Jesus and be equipped to follow Him.

Please pray for Marcus & Bethany, Elijah & Rafael.

Would you join me in welcoming Marcus to the Pastoral Team @ KGF?

The KGF Board, in conjunction with our Discernment Team & Senior Pastor, are pleased to present Jamie Roy as our candidate for Children’s Ministries Pastor.

Jamie comes to us with years of experience investing in children and young people at many levels and in varied environments, including as a teacher, counselor, children’s director, and with Young Life. Jamie and her husband Dave have three grown children as well as an 11 year old and 8 year old adopted brother / sister from China.

Jamie will be Candidating Sunday May 25th during both services, with opportunities to interact afterwards. The membership will be voting to call Jamie to this position of Full Time Children’s Ministries Pastor on Sunday June 1st at a special meeting to take place at 10:30am in the sanctuary.

You might find yourself in a dark place, and wonder if the darkness will ever lift. It might be marital, family, health, financial, employment. Could be broken dreams, broken heart, broken promises. Disappointment with God. . . Disappointment with others.

But here's the truth. You'll get through this. It won't be easy. It won't be quick. It won't be painless. It won't be fun. But you'll get through this. And you'll get through this because you aren't alone.

Join us at KGF for our new, four week series based on the life of Joseph. This is the dreamer who's brothers threw him in a pit, sold him into slavery. He spent time as a household servant, wrongly jailed and over-looked. But God was with him. And that which people had planned for evil, God used for good.

And that's just like our God. In the midst of the darkness, dawn is about to break.

Join us starting Sunday April 27th, 9am & 11am, for our new series, "You'll Get Through This". Pick up a copy of Max Lucado's book by the same name to journey alongside the messages. Catch them all online, kgfchurch.com
