Hundreds of people hit the streets of Kelowna Saturday for a project called "Love Kelowna".
Spearheaded as a joint venture by the churches of Kelowna, this event saw; garbage picked up all over the city, free car-washes, barbecues and more.
Pastor Mike Penninga, from Kelowna Gospel Fellowship, says it was great to see so many people out.
"Kids made up gifts for emergency service workers including thank you cards, home baked goodies, and Tim Horton's cards. It is hoped this will become an annual event that grows in scope and impact, and is designed to show the positive impact the churches can have on this great community."
