What a great weekend we had for Kickoff around KGF! From the Delorean parked at the front door and the hot rod on stage to the amazing ministry expo and everything in between, it was a fantastic way to launch our Fall ministry season at KGF!
As you probably gathered, we are launching a six week “Back to the Future” series, based on the first six chapters of Acts. We are looking back to the birth of the church in the first century to discover God’s heart for the future of KGF. We have invited you to join us on three fronts.
- Attend Sundays for these six weeks. If you miss, you can catch up online.
- Say yes to the Five Week Life Group Challenge. Over 140 of you have done that, and we are launching 15 groups the week of September 20th. These groups will meet every week for five weeks, studying the first six chapters of Acts right along with the weekend services. Our Life Groups are multi-generational and include people in every stage of their spiritual walk. There is still time to jump on board, so email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
- Read the book of Acts, one chapter per day for 28 days. This is a great way to invite God to speak into your own life, as you open His word each day. Acts is a powerful book, and it will get you fired up in your faith for sure!

Back to School Bash:
We’ve also posted photos from the Back to School Bash, where we partnered with Victory Life Church to give away hundreds of backpacks, free haircuts, clothing and more to families in need. You can check out the photos here, and watch a wrap upvideo here.
Church Picnic & Baptism – Sunday September 20th
We’re heading outdoors this Sunday September 20th from 12:30 – 3:00pm for our fall family picnic & baptism in the lake. Pack a picnic lunch, bring a blanket / lawn chairs / sports stuff, and join us at Kinsmen Park, corner of Abbott & Wardlaw in South Pandosy area of the mission. (Map here) We have two people getting baptized, Mike & Darren Wiens. You’ll be hearing their testimony in church on Sunday, along with 18 others who are coming into membership at KGF.
Band of Brothers – October 22-25 – Rockridge Canyon
Men, this is an event that you need to make time for. It’s not a retreat, but an “advance”, and speaks directly to the heart of men as sons, husbands, fathers, and brothers. The event runs October 22-25, 2009. The cost is around $250, well worth it because of the food, the facilities and the event itself. I am going, and I hope you will consider it as well. You can watch avideo of my testimony online here, and then sign up on their website here. I’m hoping for a dozen guys from KGF to be a part of this powerful weekend, and pray that you’re one of them!
If you miss a Sunday, you can download the latest bulletin here:
Great things are happening, and it’s so exciting to be a part of it! May God continue to move in and through KGF to see many people come to know and walk in Him.
Have an amazing week
