People of KGF – Carl Enns

My name is Carl Enns.  I was born in Saskatchewan and accepted Christ’s forgiveness as a young boy. Our family moved to Kelowna in 1956 and my Dad was the first pastor of KGF. I graduated from Briercrest College and have been involved in just about every aspect of ministry at this church as it has changed and grown.  I met my wife Lorraine here and the people of this church have felt like family .

My best days are when I can spend time with my kids & grandkids.

Authors that I have enjoyed reading are outdoor writers such as Jack O’Connor and Theodore Roosevelt and Christian writers that grapple with issues of faith such as Philip Yancey and Andrew Farley in “The Naked Gospel”.

I have been involved in the house building industry and cabinet making and I enjoy being creative with wood.

KGF was founded to provide a place for people to feel a part of a caring community and to give families a supportive place in training their children to follow Jesus. My hope for this church is that we will stay true to scripture, be witness of Christ’s love and salvation and follow God’s leading so we all reflect our Creator.
