Mark 4:35-41

Life can change in an instant. We often do not get time to plan for some of the most significant adjustments we face: losing a job, hitting a health crisis, death of a loved one. We get sent reeling when big shifts like these take place. In those moments, we can easily feel confused, angry, and afraid. We can even wonder “Where was God when this was happening? Was He sleeping? Doesn’t He care?”

It’s human to react that way; it’s understandable that we would. We cry out to the divine when we’re faced with our own frailty. But what if we get an answer we don’t expect?
