December Lunch with a Bunch

On December 9th, we had a Christmas Carol sing-along and our first Christmas turkey dinner. We're getting pretty good at the Jeopardy game and the questions Nick and Dianne had for us...questions about Christmas and about the Salvation Army.  Our guest speaker was Jennifer Hensen from our local Salvation Army.. We enjoyed learning more about what the Salvation Army does in the Okanagan, their history and the many ways we can contribute to help with their mission. Linda was a great bellringer in her Salvation Army attire and shared about the years she was part of giving Sunshine bags to people in nursing homes, hospitals and just in need of encouragement.  Our guest pianist Gail, accompanied our singing well and played O Holy Night as a keyboard solo. We are looking forward to our January gathering on the 13th, so watch the bulletin and be prepared to sign up in early January.
